Questions, answered plainly.

Ordering & pricing

Do I have to email you to find out a price?

No — the full rate card is published at /pricing/, every service page shows its starting price, and nine fixed-scope jobs can be added straight to a cart and paid for online.

What’s the minimum order?

€25.

Is VAT included in the prices shown?

Yes, at Estonia’s standard rate of 24%. It’s broken out as a separate line in your cart and on your order confirmation.

Can I order online, or do I need to send an enquiry first?

If your job fits one of the nine fixed-scope packages on /order/, add it to your cart and pay online. If it’s larger, less clear-cut, or you’re not sure which service you need, get a free quote instead — there’s no obligation.

What happens if my document is longer than the pack I bought?

We tell you the price for the extra pages or words before doing any additional work — nothing is charged automatically.

Certification & notarisation

Is a "certified translation" the same as a "sworn translation"?

Not in Estonia, not since 2015 — Estonia no longer appoints sworn translators. A certified translation from us carries our signed statement of accuracy. Where the receiving authority requires it, a notary separately attests our translator’s signature — that’s the notarisation step.

How do I know if I need certification or just a plain translation?

If an authority, court, university, employer or registry office asked for a “certified” or (in older language) “sworn” translation, you need Certified & Notarised Translation. If you just need to understand or send a document to a person, Personal Document Translation is enough, and cheaper.

Will my certified translation definitely be accepted?

We apply the correct certification and notarisation mechanism for Estonian and EU standards, which is what makes a translation acceptable in the first place. No agency can guarantee a specific foreign authority’s individual decision — if you know the exact requirement in advance (a specific stamp, a specific wording), tell us when you order and we’ll confirm we can meet it.

Do you handle the notary appointment, or do I?

We do — notarisation happens as part of the certified translation process; you don’t need to find or book a notary yourself.

Confidentiality & data

Who sees my documents?

Only the translator and reviewer assigned to your job. Files aren’t shared with any third party.

How long do you keep my files?

Only as long as the job and the 14-day correction window require, then they’re deleted on a fixed schedule. Full detail is in our Privacy Policy.

Do you use my documents to train any AI or translation model?

No, never.

Can you sign an NDA?

Yes, on request — ask when you send your enquiry, particularly useful for business and legal work.

Turnaround & delivery

How long does a standard job take?

2–3 working days from confirmation. Express 24-hour and same-working-day options are available for a surcharge.

Can I get a hard copy, not just a digital file?

Yes — posted delivery is available within Estonia (+€6) and the EU (+€14), alongside the free digital PDF + DOCX delivery.

What if I need my document faster than your standard turnaround?

Say so when you send it — express 24-hour (+30%) and same-working-day (+50%) options are available, subject to size and current workload.

Languages

Which languages do you cover?

English, Estonian and Russian as our base tier, plus Finnish, Latvian, Lithuanian, German and Swedish, and other EU/rarer pairs on request.

Do you translate into Estonian only, or also from Estonian?

Both directions, in every language pair we offer.

My language pair isn’t listed — can you still help?

Ask — many rarer pairs are still possible; they’re priced individually (Tier C).
